Meet Your Provider

Alyssa Hoffman, PsyD, HSPP

Licensed Clinical Psychologist

In 2018, I began my journey in specializing in OCD treatment. At that time finding a youth OCD specialist to refer to was incredibly challenging and impossible on the Southside of Indianapolis. I jumped on the opportunity to learn more by way of reading, online trainings, and the in-person Child & Adolescent BTTI. As I learned more about ERP and had the experience of providing treatment to youth locally, I quickly realized it was a great fit for me as a provider.

In the years since, and with the opening of Freely Living in 2021, I continued to focus my practice to primarily serve children and adolescents who are experiencing OCD, phobias, or other anxiety disorders. By taking the time to specialize in this area, I have had the incredible opportunity to see countless lives improve from being stuck in doubt or fear. I have also witnessed how challenging OCD and anxiety disorders can be, that the journey is not an easy one, and that progress looks different for so many. Additionally, I’ve had several opportunities to experience that OCD and anxiety don’t always show up at the door alone and the child is not always the only one who needs support.

I appreciate each opportunity to walk alongside someone new and help support their chance at freely living. I also recognize that the “fit” with a therapist is incredibly important and there are times when that is just not me. It is always my intention to connect along the journey to ensure that each child and family is getting the support they deserve and offer referrals when needed.

Outside of the office, you’d likely find me spending time with my family (including 2 kids) and friends, enjoying nature, travel planning or daydreaming, and reading (or listening) to a book.
